Ummmmm how about stopping the rich VIPs from using the traffic polices to pave way for them? They appear out of nowhere from your back, raise their siren, and tell you to move aside to pave way. Isn’t this unfair and such a nuisance? Why do they get to speed all they like while we get fined if we go above the speed limit? What happened to “everyone is equal in the eye of law”?

Is it possible you raise a question on the Judiciary? I notice questions in Parliament are directed to the Govt, the Executive branch, on Govt matters. So how, on questions on the Judiciary? Anyway, if my question is inappropriate, just ignore. Thank you.
In view of the comment yesterday by the Chief Justice about allegations of corrupt judges, which he says cannot be substantiated, can you please raise a question whether he had just relied on other (eg Police or ACA) investigations, or did he also use his own wisdom and given consideration to the underlying reasons why such allegations had been brought to his attention by way of “poison-pen” letters? (I myself prefer the use of the term “anonymous” letters, as “poison-pen” denotes an ulterior motive, mostly negative, whereas “anonymous” has a “positive desire for change/rectify a wrong/correct an injustice” inclnation). I had hoped that a person in his capacity and with his wisdom would have been aware that not all “anonymous” letters are without merit. He has failed fairness itself in not taking cognisance that these “anonymous” complainants may have much to lose should their names get out, not just measured as a financial loss. For example, they may be very senior business leaders who have to preserve their corporation’s business, say, with the Govt; or they have their personal untarnished reputation and integrity to preserve; or could it also be such complainants could be in-the-know, in Govt itself, eg. in civil service, who have been over-ruled, or shut-up, by their superiors acting on “orders” from powerful figures, at risk of losing their positions/jobs!
Suplementary to that question is whether there is now a larger backlog of cases than say, 5, 10 years ago? I have heard of cases going beyond 10 years which have still not been heard, let alone resolved.
Another supplementary question is the status of using IT to put court information, case schedules, judgements etc..etc on their website online? In other countries, one will be able to publically log into and search keywords into their court system/website and find out what cases are progressed or upcoming, detailed written judgements, and a whole lot more. Our court websites are poor in design, worse still in content. One can’t find any information. let alone updates, on court cases, other than the Courts organisational structure, which is obviously static information which doesn’t require updating nor regular maintenance.
Anything in the way of reviving debate on the pressing need, in view of my main question above, for a “Whistleblowers” Act? If there is such legislation to protect informants, surely the writers of “poison-pen” or “anonymous” letters will no longer need to hide behind pseudonyms. Doesn’t that help to bring openess up another notch to make for a more progressive and open nation?
Just some of my thoughts, thank you very much YB.

Ms Teresa,
Have some questions feel that you might want to raise as a matter of public concern:
1. In regards to the accident where the Concrete Slab fell on the BMW and killed the “famous consultant”, why was there no action taken against the Developer of the site? Action was only taken against some poor site supervisor and Contactor. It is the Developer’s responsibility to ensure work safety. It was reported that many stop work orders had been issued against the said Developer.
2. In regards to the latest land-slide incident in Ulu Kelang, can you call for the resignation of the Mentri Besar? Now doubt the Developer must share the blame (as I mentioned above, Developer is ultimately responsible) but how can the Local Council still approve “hill slide projects” after so many incidents in Ulu Kelang? Does the MB know that it’s the Local Council (under his jurisdiction) that approved the said project?
3. Refer to my earlier posting, that the article against the IPCMC in the RMP website re-appeared. Please ask the PM, who is in charge of the Police Force, the IGP or someone else. The Star also briefly highlighted this incident. You can get the info from http://www.jeffooi.com
4. There are numerous reports that there is a MLM Company that is brainwashing young members (some still in College / Uni) to invest RM30K in the MLM Biz and promising the “moon and sky”. Although I agree in biz, its “caveat emptor”, I find that targeting gullible college/uni kids is irresponsible and Govt should step in before the hard earned money of parents of these gullible college/uni students are “cheated”.

Someone brought up the issue of Bakun. After some sort of publicity about investors interest earlier, there is now no news of what is happening. Some believe the project is again in trouble – another waste of government.
Also PORR - the PM must clarify its and the Deputy MB of Penang stake in the project.
