Sad lah, Pak Lah!!

Tuesday, 21-03-2006

I feel very sad today and yesterday when I heard the speeches of UMNO MPs in Dewan Rakyat opposing the establishment of a Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC).

When these guys were giving their speeches, they also whacked me for allegedly defaming the police force and tarnishing its reputation.

Sri Gading MP, Mohamed Aziz, on Monday said that we should be grateful for the contribution made by the police and whacked me for exposing the Squatgate scandal which discredited the police.

I stood up to intervene and said that when MPs commit an offense, it’s the duty of the police to catch and detain us; the same goes for elected rep like me, when police have done wrong and I expose it, I am carrying out my duty as a Member of Parliament.

I said that it was because of me exposing the Squatgate scandal that the police were forced to come out with a Body Search Guidelines which took into consideration human rights. Was my contribution not positive enough for Sri Gading?

I watched Parliament Hari Ini last night. It highlighted the speeches of three MPs who urged the government not to set up IPCMC, but not a word of what I said in the afternoon was reported.

Today the UMNO guys again whacked me and sang the same tune in their speeches.

When I spoke to a more liberal-minded MP about this phenomena, he said when UMNO politicians and the Malay media turn this issue into a racial issue, this is what’s bound to happen.

It is very depressing to see that.

These politicians are very irresponsible. I told them this afternoon at the MPs’ lounge that it looks like the Opposition leader is the one supporting the PM’s reform agenda while the PM’s boys have betrayed him.

When the Kuala Terengganu MP, Razali Ismail, spoke this afternoon and attacked the DAP on the issue of police, Kit Siang went into the Dewan Rakyat and tried to intervene but he did not give way to allow Kit to speak. Kit Siang then shouted at him, letting him know he betrayed the PM.

Sad lah, Pak Lah!! He has now become the lame duck Prime Minister :-( (

  1. As a common citizen, I am shocked at this revelation. Civilians like me do not hear or see what goes on in Parliament. I’m not even sure when or which channel Parliament Hari Ini is aired, and I suspect probably at a time when most of us are at work.

These bone-headed MPs either have no brains, or are paid by the Polis to protect them. They should be ashamed of themselves for not letting the rakyat know ahout the Squategate scandal and the malpractices of the Polist. And now they say highligthing Squategate is a BAD thing? So they were going to let these kind of things continue?

I hope their sisters and their mothers get made to strip and squat to “check for hidden objects in their orifices” as well.

Why the hell do we have such nincompoops in Parliament? I am asking my mom and my relatives not to blindly vote for Barisan every again.

By the way, are we allowed to donate to DAP, and how can we do that?

  2. Teresa, I know you feel but what’s the point in arguing with such pea-brained MPs. The only substance in their otak is only race and religion. But don’t let this discourage you and the rest of the DAP MPs. We must press on and the struggle is just starting. We on our part are circulating your blog write-ups to as many friends and relatives as possible so as to prepare ourselves for the next GE.

  3. Like the Chinese saying goes, if you are not in the wrong, you have nothing to worry about. So why the opposition to setting up the IPCMC. Unless, you have something to hide.

It is also interesting to note that while certain MPs esp from the opposition are given the gag order, others like MPs from Sri Gading and Jerai are allowed to pursue the racist agenda time and again in Parliament.

Teresa, perhaps you can load the pictures of this jokers on your website so that everyone can recognise the faces of the people who would be responsible for the destruction of multi-racial harmony in Malaysia.

  4. I agree with Normal Joe. I’ve seen past debate in Parliament and saw how the MP from Jerai acted “Macam Monyet”.
Just put in the video and let everyone judge for themselves.

  5. Yes ,it is SAD, to watch all the monkeys talking thru their posterior orifice.Totally brainless and racist. They think so highly of themselves, but dont know how extremely stupid and shameful they look. It’s a wonder how they got elected at all. PM has got to do something, ignoring these racist bums, not punishing them ,while.taking actions to suspend others without good reasons,is very unbecoming of a firm and impartial Leader.
YB Theresa,we are definitely and resolutely behind you and DAP.We know what frustrations and pains you go through.Just looking at NAZrI, and BAD-RUDE IN is in itself torturous. When they start to open their mouth nothing but s#&t comes out.
Keep up the good work.I am ever ready to help you in your work, just let me know.

  6. Teresa your highness. The world knows you are right.
Those MP only see things this way: DAP is Chinese. PDRM is Malay. Whatever Chinese propose, is bad for Malay.
If PM wanted to set up the IPCMC, then they object, do they also get what Sothinathan get for not towing the BN line? If the PM let them get away and say nothing, thi smake him looks as if what he said in public can be overruled by some lower rank UMNO politicians playing the racial sentiment.

  7. Those BN MP tidak berotak, can they truly and honestly claim that the rakyat do not want the IPCMC! Or do they want to do away with the IPCMC because they have too many skeletons in the cupboard.

  11. Most of the time I feel that whatever we are fighting for is so futile. We are so under-represented in the Parliament not because the non-Malay is minority. It is also due to the way parliamentary constituency are demarcated. Please tell me how can we fight for substantive changes. I think the political system we have today is that good people can no longer believe that they have the means of winning the support of the majority. You see, all the issues we are talking about are those that the government or international press chose to reveal. For example, would we ever know our former PM paid his way to see President Bush if the Americans have not revealed it?

  12. Dear Ms. Kok,

The video of these MPs should be put on line. Every DAP member should buy a 3G handphone or wi-fi PDA and play them over and over particularly in the areas where these MP represent. Let the constituent see what their leader represent. Even their mother would be ashamed of them.
