Are we forgetting about the 4 chinese nationals?
Is the Chinese government willing to forget them after knowing that the girl in MMS is a local Malay?
Btw, a few malay girls I spoke to also do not believe the girl in mms is a local malay…..

Oh yes YB. We, clear mind Malaysians, have no doubt who is in the right and who is in the wrong; who is the idiot and who is the inspiration; who is the traitor to the nation and who is the saviour of the nation.
In years to come, when you look back at what you have done in your life, please know that no only you yourself will be proud of what you have done, but the whole enlighten part of the Malaysian population too! May God be with you.
By the way, nice photograph and can you let me know where you took it in case I want to renew my passport?

The Star Online:

‘On MP Teresa Kok of DAP being the target of verbal attacks by those who said she should be held responsible for making the video public, Abdullah said: “They were the ones who used the information to come up with strong criticisms of the police. Now, the situation is reversed.” ’
This shows that PM also thinks that now that the victim turns out to be a local Malay, the ‘strong criticisms of the police’ become unjustified. But this is appalling. Is there any reason to think that ‘the situation is reversed’ now? What situation does he have in mind? We and Teresa are talking about the situation of police brutality and abuse of power. Is this ‘situation reversed’ when the victim turns out to be a local Malay rather than a Chinese national? Does the criticism of police brutality and abuse of power become unjustified when the victim turns out to be a local Malay? Or does Mr. Abdullah think that there is nothing wrong with the current SOPs of PDRM and therefore there isn’t victim of police abuse in the first place? When the video clip was revealed, Najib said that there was no need to humiliate a detainee in this way. Now that the victim turns out to be a local Malay, does it mean that Najib’s statement become unjustified?

Wang Yen,
Here ir has always been that real problems are avoided and excuses are found. In our Asian society, there is a tendency of “pau si bu pau u” (report the good and not the bad news) for saving face, bagi muka or whatever. Examples in history like – corrupt manchurian officers in 19th century, Japanese warlords in WWII etc.
Even our history text books for our children do not critically address the fallings of our forefathers….only telling boring sequence of events and brief discussions of superficial cause and effect.
A development from this is that when real problem arise, people who should be solving it, cannot look straight into the problem and take correct and affirmative action without fear or favour. Instead they find excuses or cover up …short term solutions that have future repercussion.
In the case
1) create the impression that the Chinese national was not victimized in the MMS (Hello! we got another 4)- so China can go back to their Taiwan/Japan bashing tones again
2) create the impression that a few low level police officers were confused
3) create the impression that a few people confirmed that the girl is a local Malay (note: is that relevant? the real person on trial is police personnel and their procedures)
I think the commission made the mistake of rushing things to quickly. If you want to give an impression of not covering up, please carry out inquiring (find things to talk about) and don’t stop way before Christmas holiday.
We are lucky that the victims were not Americans/British/Australians as their government are more vocal and proactive in these sort of issues. If they can come out all gun blazing when a drug addict of their nationality being hanged (or ass being shipped), imagine what they would do if 4 of their innocent women got robbed, molested and humiliated by people in uniform. Operation Malaysian Freedom? HELL NO!

(or ass being shipped)—-> I meant “ass being whipped” (no prize for remembering who he was)

As an MP himself, what will the PM do if he has the video clip?
From his comments, I take it that he meant “serves Teresa right for criticising the police. Now is her turn to be bashed”.
I hope that it’s not a signal from him to bash Teresa. Greatly disappointed in PM!

It should read: I hope that it’s not a signal from him to the police to bash Teresa. Apologies.
